The Voicemail From Tomorrow

Create a cinematic supernatural horror short in a dim kitchen before dawn. Use an over-the-shoulder medium shot with a vintage fifty-millimeter lens as a phone on the counter plays a voicemail in the creator’s own voice. Slowly orbit the subject while the room’s appliances flicker and the audio describes movements happening behind them. Light the scene with cold window light, a weak refrigerator glow, and long unnatural shadows. As the voice whispers, the camera racks focus from the phone to the dark doorway. The subject turns toward it, and the phone records the same moment from inside the doorway. Finish with a distorted close-up of the screen showing the camera operator’s face.
