The Town That Refused to Leave

Produce a compelling documentary about a small Appalachian town rebuilding after repeated floods. Open with a high, slow drone pass over river valleys and damaged roads, then descend into street-level interviews with residents restoring homes, reopening stores, and protecting historic buildings. Use a 24mm lens for landscapes, a 50mm lens for intimate faces, and handheld movement during cleanup scenes. Light with overcast natural daylight, warm window interiors, and blue-hour porch lamps. Include archival photos dissolving into matching present-day compositions. Focus on resilience without turning hardship into spectacle, highlighting local organizers, volunteer networks, practical rebuilding, and the emotional meaning of staying home.
