The Secret Night Shift at the Zoo

Make a cinematic behind-the-scenes documentary about the overnight caretakers at a major Chicago zoo. Open at 2:13 a.m. with a silent, locked-off shot of a tiger pacing behind misty glass, then follow a keeper through service corridors using a stabilized shoulder camera. Alternate 24mm wide environmental shots with 85mm portrait close-ups of feeding preparation, animal footprints, and tired hands. Use cool moonlight, dim sodium work lamps, and gentle red headlamp illumination without disturbing the animals. Build suspense through quiet sound design and restrained narration, designed for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, while showing the workers’ emotional bond responsibly.
