The People Who Restore Old Maps

Create a tactile documentary about conservators restoring fragile historical maps inside a quiet archive. Begin with an overhead composition of enormous paper sheets, then push in with a macro lens across cracked ink, delicate fibers, and tiny repair brushes. Use controlled slider movement and locked-off detail shots from a shallow angle. Light the workspace with soft, even daylight and gentle side lighting that reveals texture without glare. Capture paper sounds, pencil marks, ventilation hum, and thoughtful interviews about memory, borders, exploration, and the stories hidden inside damaged documents.
