The People Who Listen to the City at Night

Create a street-level documentary about overnight sound recordists capturing the hidden rhythm of a sleeping city. Start with a low tracking shot beside empty sidewalks, then circle a field recordist wearing headphones beside a portable microphone. Use a long lens for distant trains, rooftop silhouettes, and late-night workers, then switch to a macro lens for vibrating cables and rain on metal. Sodium streetlights mix with cool window light, creating a moody nocturnal palette. Let real ambient audio lead the edit, with waveform overlays, quiet observational moments, and a thoughtful urban anthropology style.
