The Oceanographer Who Listens to Whales

Create a cinematic documentary short following a marine acoustics researcher using underwater microphones to study whale communication. Open from a low angle on a small research vessel cutting through calm morning water, then move into gentle handheld shots of headphones, sonar displays, wet cables, and focused eyes. Use a stabilized telephoto lens for distant whale spouts and an underwater wide lens for silhouettes moving through blue darkness. Keep the lighting natural, with silver dawn reflections above and soft instrument glow below deck. Build the edit around real ocean sound, breath, static, and a quiet voice explaining what cannot be seen.
