The Museum Exhibit Blinked

Create an atmospheric horror short for a US museum-content creator making a late-night TikTok and YouTube Shorts episode. During a private tour, the creator films an antique portrait whose painted subject appears to blink whenever the camera pans away. Begin with a slow museum-wide dolly on a 40mm lens, then use tight 85mm push-ins on the portrait’s eyes and ornate frame. Moonlight enters through tall windows while isolated spotlights create pools of amber light and heavy shadows. Show dust floating, cracked varnish, velvet ropes, and a phone screen struggling to focus. Each replay reveals the figure standing closer to the edge of the painting. End with the creator’s own face replacing the portrait subject in the final frame.
