The Mall That Refused to Die

Create a cinematic documentary short about a dying American shopping mall in Ohio that survives through immigrant-owned businesses, a roller rink, and one legendary food court vendor. Open with a high, slow drone shot over the empty parking lot at blue hour, then cut to a handheld 35mm walk-through with natural conversations and textured ambient sound. Use warm practical lighting inside, cool window light outside, and intimate 85mm close-ups of worn signs, family photos, and steaming food. Structure it like a viral YouTube mini-doc with a powerful first-five-seconds hook, emotional reveals, authentic US details, and subtle TikTok-style caption moments. No narration overload; let subjects tell the story.
