The Last Analog Photo Lab

Make a poignant documentary short about one of the last independent film photo labs in the United States and the young creators keeping it alive. Start with a slow dolly through a darkroom using a 50mm lens, red safelight glowing across trays and wet prints. Shift to handheld close-ups of chemical mixing, negatives being cut, and photographers reviewing contact sheets. Film the owner in a medium profile shot, then follow customers on a 35mm lens through a neighborhood photo walk. Use soft window light, deep shadows, subtle film grain, and authentic room tone. Blend archival scans with present-day footage, designed for nostalgic Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube creator audiences.
