The Internet’s Last Free Arcade

Make a fast-paced documentary about a family-run arcade resisting closure in a small Midwestern town. Start with an extreme close-up of a joystick clicking, then whip-pan into a 24mm wide shot packed with glowing cabinets, ticket machines, and teenagers filming vertical videos for TikTok. Follow the owner with a shoulder-mounted camera through repair rooms and handwritten scoreboards, using 85mm portrait shots for emotional interviews. Mix neon magenta and cyan arcade light with warm window daylight, authentic coin sounds, and energetic but unobtrusive narration. Show the owner repairing a 1980s cabinet, a child chasing a high score, and a rent notice on the counter. End on one final game after closing, framed as a hopeful battle for community space.
