The Highway Exit Nobody Notices

Make a cinematic investigative-style documentary about an overlooked highway exit that connects an entire hidden local economy. Begin with a drone shot tracing traffic from a crowded freeway into an ordinary-looking service road, then move into handheld interviews with mechanics, warehouse workers, motel owners, delivery drivers, and roadside vendors. Use a 24mm lens for sweeping road geography, a 70-200mm lens for compressed traffic patterns, and a 35mm lens for intimate encounters. Film during golden hour, blue hour, and harsh midday to show the exit’s constant rhythm. Add animated route graphics, archival road maps, and layered sound design. Reveal how thousands of daily lives depend on this unnoticed strip of asphalt.
