The Day America Almost Lost Its Clocks

Create a cinematic 90-second history explainer for YouTube Shorts and TikTok about the 1752 calendar change in the American colonies. Begin with a macro close-up of an antique pocket watch striking midnight, then use a slow 50mm dolly move through a candlelit colonial print shop. Transition into an animated parchment calendar where eleven dates disappear, with the presenter explaining why September 3 was followed by September 14 in some places. Use warm candlelight, deep shadows, subtle film grain, period-accurate costumes, and elegant map overlays. Add concise captions, a dramatic ticking sound design, and a final question asking viewers whether they would accept losing eleven days.
