Nobody Claps at First

Make a heartfelt motivational short about an aspiring musician practicing in a small apartment while the city outside remains indifferent. Begin with a static wide shot on a 35mm lens: the performer plays to an empty room, surrounded by rejected flyers and unfinished lyrics. Slowly push in as mistakes become cleaner repetitions. Use soft window light, warm lamp glow, gentle film grain, and intimate handheld close-ups of fingertips, breathing, and focused eyes. Transition through match cuts showing the same performer months later on a small American venue stage, now facing a cheering crowd. End with text: “Nobody claps at first. Keep going.”
