Inside a 24-Hour Laundromat

Film an observational documentary about the people who keep a Los Angeles laundromat alive between midnight and sunrise. Begin with a wide 18mm exterior under buzzing neon, then glide through rows of spinning machines on a stabilized gimbal. Use 35mm over-the-shoulder portraits, close-ups of hands folding clothes, and slow rack focus from detergent bottles to tired faces. Mix harsh fluorescent lighting with pools of magenta street light, preserving realistic skin tones and humid reflections. Capture authentic dialogue, machine rhythms, and quiet pauses. Edit for creator culture with a strong first-second hook, vertical-safe framing, and a compassionate final reveal.
