How Maps Can Fool Your Eyes

Create a sharp media-literacy short in a modern classroom where a large wall map transforms under the presenter’s touch. Start with a centered symmetrical shot, then slide sideways as the same regions change apparent size through different map projections. Use a thirty-five-millimeter lens, smooth gimbal movement, bright window light mixed with saturated projector colors, and a sleek explainer-video style. Show the presenter comparing a globe with flat maps, using animated grid lines and transparent overlays. Include expressive reactions, clean labels, and a final rotating globe that reveals why every flat map makes visual compromises.
